Let's Talk About

Your Child's IEP or 504

Are you ready to change your child's IEP or 504?

As a parent, you want what's best for your child each and every day, but nobody at school seems to understand exactly what your child needs for a successful school day.

I get it. I've been there, too.

I can't wait to help you.

Imagine if...

You could breathe easy when sending your child to school.

You could stop dreading every interaction with school staff.

You slept better at night knowing your child was making progress at school, in the skills that mean the most for their future.

I'm Amber, and as a parent, I understand firsthand the feelings of being overwhelmed when navigating the complex IEP process. I remember walking into my first IEP meeting, unsure of how to make sure my son got the support he needed.

That experience sparked my passion for empowering other parents to effectively advocate for their children. With over six years of lived experience both as a parent and advocate at the IEP table, I bring not just expertise but also deep empathy and an understanding of the unique challenges families face when raising a child with a disability.

My goal is to ensure that you never feel alone or unequipped at an IEP meeting and that your child gets the support they're entitled to. I'm committed to helping you find your voice and promoting constructive conversations that lead to positive outcomes for your child!

Whether your child has autism, ADHD, Tourette's, anxiety, learning disabilities, or any other condition requiring support and accommodations, I have the knowledge and experience to guide you through this process. I will guide you to ask the right questions, understand your rights, and make sure your child's needs are reflected in their IEP.

I'm trained and certified through reputable organizations, including COPAA, Wrightslaw, and Master IEP Coach®. Maintaining active memberships with these organizations also keeps me current on best practices and strategies for securing appropriate IEP services.

My advocacy is rooted in the belief that parents play an invaluable role on the IEP team. I dedicate my work not just to advising but to truly partnering with you, bringing the expertise of a fellow parent and advocate who has walked this road before. Together, we can give your child the support they need to thrive in school and life.

I can't wait to connect and cheer you on as we advocate for your child's future!

Proud Parents

Parents of a

4 Year Old Child

Since Day One, my family and I have been so impressed by Amber. She is extremely well-informed on both the rights of special needs children and the parental rights of parents with special needs children. She is excellent at navigating the confusing special education system (even outside of her own state), all while maintaining a collaborative and positive attitude. Not only that, she is personally invested in your child(ren)’s and family’s success, and helpful in attaining the goals and accommodations your child(ren) needs to be supported in an academic setting. We highly recommend Amber for anyone who is looking for not only a seasoned advocate, but someone who is authentically compassionate.

Amber has excellent knowledge of the IEP process. I didn't know what options there were for my son's IEP, but I knew it wasn't working. She helped me navigate everything. I really appreciate that she helped my son get what he needed without conflict with the school. I had a very positive experience working with her.

Amber Brinkman is fantastic!!!

She has knowledge I don’t have, and ‘held my hand’ through the work I was unable to do. I was pressed with timelines, and she took so much stress off of me, advocated very well for my son, and gave me such a greater understanding of the process and nuances.

Amber was very helpful in guiding me through the IEP process. I was overwhelmed and frustrated trying to get the school to listen to me. She gave me the words and resources to help me communicate with the school and make sure my son's needs were met. I highly recommend her to anyone needing help.

My child has struggled in school for years. I didn’t know how to help and felt completely overwhelmed with all the information out there. Amber helped make everything simple and explained it all so well. She broke down the steps, helped me find the problems I wanted to focus on in our meeting, and wrote the letters needed to start the process. She also came with me to all my meetings with the teachers and LEA to be sure my child was getting what he deserved. And she does it all with such passion because she truly cares. I am forever grateful for her help and guidance.
